Activities
The goal of this unit is to introduce students to the epic poem and the structure and characteristics of Anglo-Saxon poetry; their themes and what they reveal about the ideals and beliefs of the society they represent.
Students will paraphrase key ideas and details and respond to them in journals and through creative writing assignments.
