Rivka's story is about a woman who was taken to a pit along with her child, siblings, father, mother, relatives and friends.  She was shot there, naked and miraculously survived.  After you read the story, choose three of the five sections to study.  Summarize each section in a paragraph.  On a separate page, discuss the three most important facts you learned after reading this story.  React to the story.  What were your feelings as you were reading it?  How has this testimonial affected your view of the Holocaust?
The Nazis used propaganda to promote anti-Semitism.  Under the Nazis, Jews were legally classified as a race.  Hitler said "The Jews are undoubtedly a race, but they are not human."  Jews were portrayed as distasteful, untrustworthy and with stereotypical physical characteristics.  You are going to look at four Nazi propaganda anti-Semitic posters.  Choose two of the posters to analyze.  Look at the questions first, answer them on a separate sheet of paper.
Choose an image to analyze.  Look at the Analyzing Visual Images worksheet.  Complete your analysis on a separate sheet of paper. Include a copy of the picture.
