In this class we will be looking into the darker side of human nature. Monsters exist in fiction and in real life and the works we study will focus on a few of these. The questions we will ultimately attempt to answer are: What is the nature of evil? Why does evil exist? Is evil inherent in man or is it a learned behavior?
